Northern Brewer is an English hop variety, developed in 1934 from a cross between a Canterbury Golding female plant and the male plant OB21. Grown in Europe and America as a dual-purpose hop, but mainly used for bittering in combination with other hops. Woody/earthy/fruity aroma and flavour. Alpha acid 8%-10%. Wilt susceptible
Northern Brewer hop plant will grow to approx. 15-20 feet once mature. All orders will be dispatched as soon as the dormant root stock are available. This hop plant sells out by the summer. We will deliver this rhizome as a bare root hop plant, wrapped in damp moss to ensure it's ready to be planted upon arrival.
Please note, we send bare root hop plants overseas, but we do not offer a replacement or refund if the hop plant fails due to your growing conditions. Hop plants need cold conditions in the winter. Otherwise, they will not grow. Some hop varieties take longer than others to emerge.
