Chinook is another dual purpose hop, developed in 1985, but from NW USA this time. Chinook is a cross between the English variety Petham Golding with the attractively named male USDA 63012. The plant produces hops with high alpha but an aroma with a distinctive pine smell. This variety is widely used in American hoppy ales.
Chinook will grow to approx. 15-20 feet once mature. All orders will be dispatched as soon as the dormant root stock are available. This hop plant sells out by the summer. We will deliver this rhizome as a bare root hop plant, wrapped in damp moss to ensure it's ready to be planted upon arrival.
Please note, we send bare root hop plants overseas, but we do not offer a replacement or refund if the hop plant fails due to your growing conditions. Hop plants need cold conditions in the winter. Otherwise, they will not grow. Some hop varieties take longer than others to emerge. Please note we do not supply phytosanitary certificates. You must check your country's customs regulations before you order. There is no refund/replacement policy for overseas deliveries that are not delivered or fail. In order to comply with The British Hop Association, if you ordered any of the following plants Cascade, Chinook and Centennial you need agree to the Terms set out by The BHA, Wye Hops Ltd.**Trade Customers**
